I thought I would share what I’ve been working on today!

Lately, I have been doing a lot of commercial work. One of the people I’ve been working with is Vicky from Lil Chelsea Bun Hair Accessories. LCB sells not only totally adorable hair accessories, but also fun dress-up clothes such as tutus, rompers, pettiskirts, legwarmers, etc.

Anyway! My lovely daughter, Savannah, has been modelling a lot of these products for me. This morning she was modelling a tutu dress, and the way she was running around and giggling reminded me of a little princess in a big poofy dress, running around and having fun in a castle courtyard of somekind.

I used to do a lot of photo-manipulations before I had children (you know, back when I had time to myself. haha). I even won a few contests! I thought I would take the the afternoon and have a little fun with it. So, I let my creativity flow, and here’s what I came up with!

I’m sure the “girl running towards the castle” (or away from the castle) concept has been done a hundred times before, but here’s my take on it, starring my daughter 🙂

I would love for you to comment and let me know what you think!

Photographers are constantly taking courses, going to seminars, and readings texts, to learn new knowledge and keep up-to-date with all the latest trends.

Well, Bauman Photography, located in San Diego, has gone one step further and created a (hilarious) photography training program! I have to say, my favourite part is near the end of the video – where they focus on weddings. hahaha!

Here’s the video:

I am SO excited to have been accepted into The Tiny Light Foundation!

The Tiny Light Foundation is a non profit organization that provides professional photography for children and families that have been faced with a life altering diagnoses.

TTLF hand picks all their photographers, whom they believe can capture some memories for all these special children. Photographers all across Canada volunteer to provide cherished portraits for these families. It’s a fantastic organization and I’m so happy to be a part of it! 😀

This morning I had the pleasure of photographing Quinn and Claire. Quinn (almost 4 years old) was way too cute for her own good, and was a total superstar, we got a ton of great shots of her! Poor little Claire (almost 1 year old) wasn’t feeling well at all, but was a good sport anyway.

I did some shots of the girls together, then some individual shots. Since Claire is turning 1 in less than two weeks we did a cake smash also! Claire did a small amount of cake smashing (which was fantastic considering she wasn’t feeling well!), and Quinn was MORE than happy to finish off the cake for us! I will say though, that only a 4-year-old will stomp on a cake, and then proceed to lick the cake off her own foot 😉
