Erin & Michael
Erin and Michael had ALL the weather for their King’s Riding wedding! It was cloudy, it rained, it hailed, it snowed, it was sunny, and it was consistently cold. But through all of that, Erin and Michael had a fantastic day with their family and friends, and they ended up married (which is the important part 😉 ) at the end of it all!
How They Met
Technically, the first time Erin and Michael met, was on separate bike rides at a stop light. Officially, they met at a winter spin class! They went on their first date at Spuntini restaurant in Toronto. I assume things went well, because 4 years (minus 1 day) later, they were engaged!
Michael proposed in February, at home, while they were getting ready to take the dog for a walk.
Everyone got ready at the King’s Riding Golf Club, in separate areas. It was nice because everyone was in close-proximity, but at the same time it was easy to make sure that Erin and Michael didn’t see each other before the ceremony!
The First Look
Erin and Michael opted to do a First Look before the ceremony. It was a bit chilly, but worth it! (Though, I may be biased, because I think that better quality photos are always worth temporarily freezing. Luckily it wasn’t THAT cold. ha)
After a quick gift exchange, we were off to do photos of the soon-to-be husband & wife!
By the time we were done photos, Erin and Michael were prettyyy cold, so they decided to move the ceremony indoors. Hurray warmth!

Natalie & Brad
How They Met
Natalie and Brad first met online, and chatted through the computer for awhile before speaking on the phone. Even early on, they could tell that there was something special between them. When they finally met in-person, they took a walk on the beach, went for lunch at The Salty Dog on Queen St. East in Toronto, and then walked around downtown Toronto and talked some more.
After two and a half years of dating, Brad proposed, and shortly after that, they secured me as their King City wedding photographer!
I’ll admit, I had a little too much fun doing the ring photos!
Brad and Natalie both got ready at The Kingsbridge Centre – but in separate rooms, on separate floors, as they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony. This allowed me to do some photos of Brad getting ready as well!
As I mentioned in the sneak peek post, Brad and Natalie have an adorable little girl named Mila. She did visit her dad for some photos with him before the ceremony, but most of the time she stayed with the girls.
The wedding ceremony was held at King’s Riding Golf Club, in King City, Ontario. The ceremony was held outdoors, in front of the main building at King’s Riding – it was a gorgeous view, on a gorgeous day! The ring bearer and flower girl, William and Kate, respectively, were too cute walking up the aisle together!
The Wedding Party
The lovely wedding party consisted of 4 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls (counting baby Mila!), 4 groomsmen, and a ring bearer. If you recognize, Sarah, the maid of honour and Natalie’s sister, was also a bridesmaid at Amanda & Kenny’s wedding! It was great seeing her again (and Amanda and Kenny too!)!
Little Mila sure did make me work for those smiles – but it was totally worth it!
We did the bride & groom photos around the King’s Riding property – beautiful views no matter which way you look!

Natalie & Brad’s Sneak Peeks
Natalie and Brad booked me to be their King’s Riding wedding photographer about two years ago, and finally, they are married!
You may be wondering what the sparkly gold stuff is in the ring shot below. Well, it’s actually the inside of the envelope that Natalie and Brad’s wedding invitations were sent out in! I like to use as many wedding-related “props” as possible for authenticity, so when I saw the sparkliness inside the invitation envelopes, I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for!
I am always just a little bit extra nervous when there is a baby involved with a wedding. The reason is, just like the weather, you can never predict what the baby’s mood will be like on the wedding day. Some babies get very overwhelmed with everything that’s going on, and are upset most of the day. Some babies are very serious, observing everything going on, but won’t crack a smile. (*cough* Holly *cough*) Little Mila, at 10-months old, made me work for those smiles, but with the help of her stuffed dog Max, I was victorious in capturing some uber-adorable happy faces!
Natalie and Brad had a fantastic wedding party, of course! I enjoyed seeing Sarah again, who was also a bridesmaid at Amanda & Kenny’s wedding.
My husband sometimes makes random comments as he walks by and I’m working on photos. In the case of the big wedding party photo below, he offhandedly said “Did they run out of flowers, and that bridesmaid had to carry a baby around instead?” Yes. Yes that is what happened. haha. (Sidenote: Did you hear about that wedding where the girls held rescue puppies instead of bouquets? LOVE!)
To Natalie and Brad, congrats on your marriage! I loved being there to document yours (and Mila’s) special day! Through the chaos of everything that was going on, we got some fantastic photos!

A couple days before the wedding I saw this weather forecast…
…and I IMMEDIATELY launched into my anti-rain dance ritual (which was repeated the morning of the wedding, obviously). Sadly no amount of chanting, dancing or waving my anti-rain ribbons around could bring a full day of sunny skies for Holly and Mike, BUT, it DID lessen the rain to only about 10-15mm, and we had bright sunny skies after the ceremony!
