Emily & Adam’s Sneak Peeks
After almost a year off (thanks to the covid-19 pandemic, ugh), I shot my first 2021 wedding last weekend! It was a gorgeous August summer day at the Holland Marsh Wineries in Newmarket, where Emily and Adam held their outdoor ceremony. Here are some sneak peek photos from their fabulous day!

Katie & Kyle
One of the perks of being a Newmarket wedding photographer, is that there are SO many great venues in this area, one of them being perfect for a lovely vineyard wedding, the Holland Marsh Wineries! Katie and Kyle added to their rustic vineyard ambiance with something they love to do together – woodworking & crafts!! And as you’ll see, they did a beautiful job!
The Early Days (How They Met & The Proposal)
Katie was having trouble with her car, so a friend/co-worker recommended that she take her car to this particular repair shop. Little did she know, her friend was playing matchmaker, because he knew that Kyle worked at this repair shop! Katie took her car in, and when she met Kyle her first thought was “He’s so thoughtful and… tall.” (That’s true, Kyle IS really tall!). Kyle meanwhile, was thinking “She seems really sweet… and she really needs a new car.” They went on their first date to a restaurant in Unionville, then they went on a walk. A short 5 months later, Kyle proposed on bended knee on the dock at Sibbald Point Provincial Park.
The Wedding
Katie and Kyle had their summer vineyard wedding on a gorgeous day in July. They brought a ton of woodworking projects they created themselves to add to the rustic feel of the day – wooden photo frames hanging from the trees to serve as a photo booth, benches for their guests to sit on, and lots of signage!
There were 6 children in the wedding party, and one of those children was a MOST adorable little flower girl named Rachel! Katie let Rachel try on the dress (adorable), and Rachel helped Katie put her shoes on. She really was the perfect flower girl!
At the Holland Marsh Wineries, there are many places where the ceremony could be set up. Katie and Kyle chose one of my favourite places – right in front of the pond! The lighting is great there in the afternoon, so that made me one happy Newmarket wedding photographer 🙂
With this many kids in the wedding party, you have to let them run around and have fun! So we incorporated that into a few photos, of course!
Katie and Kyle were total naturals in front of the camera!
I LOVE doing these shots below, and they work especially well when there’s a significant height difference between the couple!
