Everything was just perfect for Amanda and Andrew’s wedding today!

We did most of the pictures before the ceremony. I really like this because after you get married, you don’t want to stand around and pose for pictures, you want to talk to all your friends and family, and celebrate!

Anyway, we got to plan how and when Amanda and Andrew would first see each other. Originally we were going to have Andrew inside the chapel (facing the other way), and Amanda coming in, then Andrew would turn around – but later decided to switch it up, and have Amanda coming out of the chapel doors where Andrew was waiting for her.

In my mind, I was thinking this shot would look the best in black and white, but I actually like the muted-colour version even better than the B&W version!

I’ll be posting some more images from Amanda and Andrew’s wedding over the next couple days, but for now, here is the moment when Andrew sees his bride for the first time.

Congratulations Andrew and Amanda!!

I bet a lot of people wonder: Why are wedding photographers so pricey?

Well, this article sums it up pretty accurately!

And just because I like to include at least one picture with all my blog posts…

I like “attitude” shots when I shoot weddings… and Karen totally rocked it!!

My husband sent this to me today and I thought I would share.

Weddings are expensive, that’s a well known-fact. Cutting costs here and there is understandable, but *don’t* sell yourself short on your wedding photos! These are your memories of your special day, and when it’s all said and done, photos are the only thing you’ll have left. (You know, besides a new spouse and a pretty ring.)

Why a professional photographer is worth it:

I should note, that I did not take either of these photos. As you can see in the first image (bottom left corner), I am not a bald man. 😉

I like to include little extras with my sessions.

For Liz & Tom’s special day, I made a photo slideshow.

It was a small backyard wedding, but it was fun and I met some great people!

I think the slideshow really captures the feel of the whole event 🙂

Weddings can be stressful, what with all the planning and preparations and all. But you have to remember it’s supposed to be a beautiful and FUN day! 🙂
